How often will you email me if I subscribe?
We will email you twice before each term - once to let you know that classes are open for enrollment and another about a week before classes start -  that's only 8 emails each year (because we don't like frequent emails either!)

2017 Term Dates


In the past I have received a blue brochure in the mailbox for your classes - do you still send these out?
Definitely! This is something I have been asked many times since Community Education has been online. We still send out brochures to Kenmore and our neighboring suburbs during the Christmas, Easter & Winter school holidays. In the past we have found that at least a few streets are missed in each direct mail campaign. Additionally if you have a "No Junk Mail" sign on your mailbox you will not receive the brochure. The best method of ensuring you receive notification of a new term is to add your name to our subscribers list above.

Where are the classes held?
Kenmore Community Education uses the facilitates of Kenmore State School, so depending on your class you choose you may be in the library, halls or classrooms of the school.

Term 3 Timetable

Am I able to park in school grounds?
As our classes run after school hours, you are welcome to use the school carparks. There are two car parks accessible from Moggill Road. These car parks fill up quickly on nights with several classes, so we also recommend parking across the road from the school behind the Baker's Delight/Simon's Butchery complex.


Do you offer a refund if I don't attend classes or only attend a few?
We are a not for profit organisation and all of our classes are run subject to their reaching minimum numbers to ensure their financial viability. For this reason, refunds will be offered only when an a personal injury or illness prevents ongoing participation in class. Requests may be made in writing to the Convenor via email. A small administration fee of $20 will apply.

Is there a map of the school or will someone be there on the first night to guide me to the classroom?
Our friendly volunteers will be at the front gate of the school to greet you and take you to your classroom during the first week of term. The front gate of the school is located at the pedestrian crossing opposite Baker's Delight.  

Do classes run on Public Holidays?
Yes all classes continue on public holidays, like Labour Day, Ekka Show and even Anzac Day in the evening.  If that changes for any class you will be notified.
Am I able to pay with cheque or direct debit?
Absolutely. Check out the DD and cheque details in our BOOK & PAY, then contact  Roslyn on 0414 073 700 or at community@kenmoress.eq.edu.au to confirm your class enrolment. If sending in a cheque please send your payment into:

Can I pay cash on the first night?
For security reasons, we prefer not to take cash payments on the first night of term. You can make a credit card payment here, or download our enrolment form to pay via direct debit or by cheque. 

I have an idea for a class - who do I contact?
If you have an idea for a class you would like to run in 2018, we are always looking for new courses that fill an educational or creative need in our community.  Please contact the Coordinator via email if you would like more information.
